Automated daily backups run at a configurable time with six retained copies by default. Both schedule and retention are configurable per instance. Backups are powered by K8up and encrypted at rest via the cloud provider. VSHN manages backup scheduling, retention, and restore procedures. Deletion protection is available as an additional safeguard against accidental data loss.

VSHN supports Redis versions 8.0, 7.2, and 7.0. Upgrades to newer versions are applied continuously as they become available and are tested for compatibility. Security patches are applied proactively to all supported versions.
